  50. The registration price for BrainWave 2 is only $19.95.  We pay shipping and
  51. handling.  There are many ways to register:

  53. 1.  REGISTER ONLINE AT DEXTERITY SOFTWARE'S WEB SITE (Credit Cards Only)
  54.     The fastest and easiest way to register is to point your web browser to
  55.     http://www.dexterity.com and fill out our on-line order form.  We
  56.     accept VISA and MasterCard.

  58. 2.  REGISTER BY EMAIL (Credit Cards Only)
  59.     Fill out the file ORDER.FRM found in your game directory, and email
  60.     it to orders@dexterity.com.

  62. 3.  REGISTER BY FAX (Credit Cards Only)
  63.     Fill out the file ORDER.FRM found in your game directory, and fax
  64.     it to Dexterity Software at (310) 640-9031.

  66. 4.  REGISTER BY MAIL
  67.     To register BrainWave 2 by mail, simply print out the registration form
  68.     and mail it with your payment.  You can either print out the file
  69.     ORDER.FRM found in your game directory, or you can print the order
  70.     form from within the game by selecting "Game | Print Order Form" from 
  71.     the main menu.

  73. 5.  REGISTER ON COMPUSERVE
  74.     If you have access to CompuServe, GO SWREG to enter the shareware
  75.     registration database, and register PRODUCT ID 14443.  CompuServe will
  76.     bill your account directly and notify us to ship the game out to you

  80. A NOTE ON SPEED
  81. ---------------
  82. If BrainWave 2's graphics performance appears slow and choppy on your
  83. system, you can try the following to improve its speed:
  84.  
  85. - If you are running applications in the background that are
  86.   consuming CPU time, close them before playing BrainWave 2.  BrainWave 2
  87.   will perform best if it doesn't have to share CPU time with
  88.   other applications.  If you are running spreadsheet calculations
  89.   in the background, for instance, BrainWave 2's performance may
  90.   decline, depending on the speed of your system.

  92. - BrainWave 2 performs best at 640x480 resolution in 256-color mode.
  93.   BrainWave 2 will run in higher resolutions and at higher color modes,
  94.   but performance may suffer on slower machines.
  95.  
  96. - Try disabling BrainWave 2's sound effects and/or music.  You can turn
  97.   these on or off through BrainWave 2's Options menu.  When the music or
  98.   sound effects are turned off, graphics performance will improve
  99.   slightly because BrainWave 2 will automatically use the extra CPU
  100.   time to enhance drawing speed.

  117. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE
  118. -----------------------
  119. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software before buying 
  120. it.  If you try a Shareware program and continue using it, you are 
  121. expected to register.  Individual programs differ on details -- some 
  122. request registration while others require it, some specify a maximum 
  123. trial period.  With registration, you get anything from the simple right 
  124. to continue using the software to an updated program with printed manual.

  127. copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific exceptions as 
  128. stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished programmers, just like 
  129. commercial authors, and the programs are of comparable quality.  (In both 
  130. cases, there are good programs and bad ones!)  The main difference is in 
  131. the method of distribution.  The author specifically grants the right to 
  132. copy and distribute the software, either to all and sundry or to a 
  133. specific group.  For example, some authors require written permission 
  134. before a commercial disk vendor may copy their Shareware.

  136. Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software.  You should 
  137. find software that suits your needs and pocketbook, whether it's 
  138. commercial or Shareware.  The Shareware system makes fitting your needs 
  139. easier, because you can try before you buy.  And because the overhead is 
  140. low, prices are low also.  Shareware has the ultimate money-back 
  141. guarantee -- if you don't use the product, you don't pay for it.
